Yes, when the family wants it and the photographer works with restraint. Families often value photographs of people who traveled to be there, details they chose with care, traditions, honors, and moments they could not take in at the time. We confirm boundaries in advance and coordinate with the venue.
Our goal is the opposite. We use quiet equipment, limit movement, avoid flash when possible, and do not approach guests for posed photographs unless the family specifically requests them. We also honor any request not to be photographed.
Only if the family expressly asks. This is discussed during planning and written into the coverage notes. We never make that decision on the day without permission.
Yes. We can reserve a brief window for immediate family, extended family, military groups, pallbearers, or other meaningful groupings. Portraits remain optional and are never forced.
A small preview is delivered within 72 hours. Depending on the collection, the complete edited gallery is delivered within 14–18 business days. Any different timeline will be stated in your proposal.
Only people who receive the private gallery link and password. Your family controls who receives them. We do not publish client images without a separate written release.
Often, yes, when all photographs and details are received promptly. Standard turnaround is seven business days. Faster work depends on current capacity and may add a 35% rush fee. We will tell you honestly what is achievable before accepting payment.
Basic scanning can be added by custom quote based on quantity, condition, and deadline. The listed tribute-film prices assume organized digital files.
No. Dearly Told focuses on photography, tribute films, memorial websites, and recorded remembrances. Many funeral homes and houses of worship already have installed livestream systems, so ask the venue first if remote viewing is important.
Travel throughout Lake County, Illinois is included in the listed starting prices. That includes communities such as Waukegan, Gurnee, Libertyville, Grayslake, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Deerfield, and Zion. Travel outside Lake County is quoted before booking.
After a brief call, you receive a written proposal and agreement. A 40% retainer reserves the date. Short-notice bookings may require payment in full because the service date is close.
